The first immersive Aquarium experience - a journey that blends awe-inspiring visuals and interactive storytelling with real scientific marine life wonder and data. The result is an experience that goes far beyond content - it becomes a living world that transforms, inspires and educates.
We partnered with AVI-SPL to design and develop the full digital, visual and audio experience that reimagines The Lost Chambers as The Lost World Aquarium - a fully immersive journey where storytelling, space and marine life becomes one.
A suite of bespoke digital characters - fully rigged, textured, and motion-captured - anchors the Atlantis storyworld. Developed for real-time performance, these guardians seamlessly interact within the immersive environment. Their identities extend beyond the physical experience through integrated merchandise and retail storytelling, creating lasting emotional and commercial connections with visitors.
We designed and produced three narrated projection-mapping shows that reimagine the architecture as an integral part of the storytelling. Each sequence merges narrative design, motion, and sound to create spatial experiences that unfold across the building’s surfaces and tells a unique story.
In the main show alone, a single room is powered by 26 projectors to achieve full-scale immersive illumination.
Across the entire experience, we used 15 Pixera media servers to distribute content seamlessly across 14 interactive rooms, covering more than 46,000 square feet of space.
Guests enter The Lost World through an immersive LED tunnel linking the Atlantis Hotel to the experience realm. To draw attention and increase footfall, a striking 6-meter-high LED entry portal greets visitors with spectacular breakthrough moments featuring three heroic characters, setting the stage for the adventure ahead.
The infrared sensor–equipped Trident acts as a companion activator, allowing visitors to interactively explore multiple touchpoints throughout the journey - from the aquarium tanks to the large-scale projection and LED artworks, where it reveals additional layers of story and content.
Visitors can explore marine life through 28 interactive education touchscreens, each highlighting key species and fun facts from the marine life of the aquarium tanks. In addition, we designed and developed the Touchtable applications, which feature engaging quizzes and in-depth information about Atlantis’ environmental and research initiatives.
A Pufferfish LED globe complements the experience, inviting visitors to discover ways to keep the oceans clean and contribute to a healthier planet.
